Who We Are
Stone House History was founded in 2017. The Owners, Jay and Leigh Ann, love history and putting it in the hands of the public. Our goal is to help put more focus on learning the skills and crafts of the past, while enjoying the present.
"I have often thought, that there is no kind of learning or study which is more worthy our application, or proves more instructive and entertaining to the student than that of history."
~The Maryland Gazette June 7, 1745

Leigh Ann has a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and Early Childhood Education. Her love of history started when growing up in Gettysburg, PA. While not currently working in a classroom, she is able to utilize her teaching skills at historic events. Jay has a bachelor's degree in History. His interest stemmed from watching reenactors at a local fort in Maine while growing up. The couple met doing what they love, living history at Fort Frederick State Park. They have been attending living history events as both participants and demonstrators for over 20 years!
Leigh Ann and Jay participate in many events across the US.
