Weekend: What to do's

So Stone House won't be at any events this weekend, but never fear there are history events near! So that you do not go into living history withdrawal I wanted to share some events that are in the local area. Please look into them, lots of hard work has gone into making them what they are. Other perks are that they are free or cheap and close by so you don't spend a lot to get your whole family out and about!

May 13th is Dills Tavern Publick Tyme. Located in the big historic barn just off rts 74 and 15. Dillsburg is located halfway from both Gettysburg and Harrisburg so its a quick drive and a beautiful one too! Dills Tavern Pubick Tyme usually coincides with the towns annual Pickle Fest but that was rained out this year. Schifferstadt in Frederick is having an Herb Festival tomorrow - May 13th. It is free to the public, and will be held 11:30 to 4 PM. There will be lots of good food to try and you can learn how to use herbs for medicines along with making colonial remedies. As a person who LOVES herbs, this is one I am SUPER bummed to miss!
